More information about the collette-gral150 High shear mixers/granulators are industrial machines used in various industries, such as pharmaceuticals, food processing, and chemical manufacturing, to mix and granulate materials. These machines are designed to handle a wide range of materials, including powders, liquids, and solids, and are capable of producing uniform and consistent mixtures.
The main components of a high shear mixer/granulator include a mixing chamber, an impeller or rotor, and a stator. The mixing chamber is where the materials are loaded and mixed, while the impeller rotates at high speeds to create intense shear forces. The stator, on the other hand, provides a stationary surface against which the materials are forced, resulting in efficient mixing and granulation.
The high shear forces generated by these machines help break down larger particles into smaller ones, resulting in a more homogeneous mixture. This is particularly useful in industries where the quality and consistency of the final product are crucial. Additionally, high shear mixers/granulators can also be used to coat particles with a layer of material, such as a protective coating or flavoring.
One of the key advantages of high shear mixers/granulators is their ability to handle a wide range of materials, including heat-sensitive substances. They can operate at different speeds and temperatures, allowing for precise control over the mixing and granulation process. Furthermore, these machines are designed for easy cleaning and maintenance, ensuring hygienic operation and minimizing downtime.
In summary, high shear mixers/granulators are versatile machines used in various industries to mix and granulate materials. They offer efficient and consistent mixing, allowing for the production of high-quality products.
Collette built high-shear mixer granulators (the Gral series) for pharmaceutical wet granulation, from laboratory to production scale. The range is now part of GEA. ...read more
