More information about the Thermo Scientific 3940ETO

Laboratory incubators are temperature-controlled chambers that keep cell cultures, microorganisms and other biological samples at stable conditions for growth and testing. Most hold a set temperature, typically around 37 °C for cell and bacterial cultures, and many also control humidity or carbon dioxide. Common types are CO2 incubators for cell and tissue culture, shaking incubators that agitate samples while they incubate, refrigerated or BOD incubators that can cool as well as heat, and general-purpose bacteriological incubators. They are used in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, clinical and quality-control laboratories. When buying a used laboratory incubator, check the chamber size and interior material, the temperature range and uniformity, the CO2 and humidity controls, whether calibration records are available, and the condition of the door gaskets and fans.
